Job Overview Wilson Transportation is seeking to hire an individual responsible for assisting with our day-to-day operations in the fast-paced logistics world.
This position has a base salary with potential for commission/bonuses, and it is undetermined whether this position will be in office, remote, or hybrid.
Business hours are 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, but hours could vary based on time zones of assigned businesses.
Core Responsibilities - Handle high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain accurate schedules.
- Manage loads from start to finish.
- Negotiate rates with carriers.
- Competitively bid freight on load boards.
- Manage margins and increase profitability.
- Proactively cover freight.
Attributes & Mindset - Enjoys writing and grammar.
Punctuation and spelling mistakes cause unease.
- Clean and organized.
Prefers to use check lists or to-do lists to ensure completion of all tasks.
- Nervous or anxious about not meeting deadlines.
- Strong desire to complete projects once started.

Compensation Salary based on experience plus commission on new customer acquisitions and freight procurement.
