Field Engineer

An engineering client in the Midwest is seeking to add an additional direct hire Field Technician or Field Engineer to their growing team.
Below are a list of their duties:
Roles and Responsibilities Perform testing and commissioning of Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations Perform on-site hands-on protective relay testing using relay test sets such as Omicron CMC 256/356 or Doble F6150.
Examples of relays to be tested are SEL-311L, SEL-387, SEL-487, SEL-421, SEL-351S, GE L90, GE D60 among others Technical and Safety Development Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor on projects Perform Job Hazard Analysis -- JHA Accurately document test results and produce field reports in the requested format Read and understand electrical drawings and schematics Perform clerical responsibilities such as timecards, expense reports, and project reports The successful applicant will be responsible for leading others in the testing and commissioning of SCADA systems for power utilities, renewables, and independent power producersBest Regards, 3-5
years of experience in doing electrical substation testing and commissioning - Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering or related field in order to qualify for the Engineer role Strong knowledge of transmission, generation and distribution relays (SEL, Basler, Beckwith, GE, etc.
) Testing software such as ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS, Omicron Test Universe, AcSELerator Quickset Comfortable with frequent travel around the Midwest region (KS, MO, IA, MN, WI, IA, NE, etc.
)- Travel is dependent on where the client sites are located Recommended Skills Control Systems Electrical Substation Engineering Expense Management Renewable Energy Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (Scada) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
