Music House teachers are not independent contractors.
They are members of a team of over 25 teachers and 10 administrators who work collectively toward the development of a strong organization.
With three locations and nearly 800 weekly students, this approach has served us well.
However, our team-focused communal environment can seem very different for anyone with prior experience independently teaching private lessons.

com General Duties:
Teaching private lessons in a way that builds on the strengths and interests of the student.
Leading group classes through the Music House curriculum.
Attending quarterly faculty meetings.
Assisting with three community events per year (recitals, jam sessions, faculty concerts).
Communicating and interacting with parents, fellow teaching faculty, and administrative staff.
Tracking student attendance and maintaining detailed teaching notes.
Signing students up for and preparing them for group and individual performances.
Creating and/or following lesson plans and teaching guides.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in music education or performance is preferred.
At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Group teaching experience a plus.
Performance experience in both an individual and ensemble setting.
Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking and listening).
Organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient using technology including but not limited to computers, mobile devices, internet browsers, and various online applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
